Dr. Sydney Dockery was born and raised in Jonesboro, GA. Ever since elementary school, she dreamed of becoming an “animal doctor”, and she held on to that goal of pursuing veterinary medicine.
Dr. Dockery attended Augusta University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology. She continued her education at Georgia State University, receiving her Master of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology and Physiology. She finished her journey at Tuskegee University, College of Veterinary Medicine graduating Summa Cum Laude with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2023.
She started her career across the country in Las Vegas; but returned home to Georgia to join the Conyers Animal Hospital family in 2025. She is passionate about providing gold standard care to every patient - from preventative care to urgent/emergent medical crises.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, staying active, spending time with her husband, and exploring new restaurants and parks. Dr Dockery has two cats, D2 and Snoop Dogg, a Pitbull named Ice Cube, and a bearded dragon named Coolio.
