Dr. Kidd grew up in a small farming community in Central Illinois. Since a young adult, Dr. Kidd could always be found in the local stables working and caring for horses.
With the intention of pursuing a career in research she obtained a degree from the University of Chicago in Biology. Through her studies in biology, she reconnected with her passion for animals. Finding that she preferred animals to sick people. Dr. Kidd entered veterinary school and obtained a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 1998.
After relocating to Atlanta to study at Emory University she began working full time as a Veterinarian. Later she obtained her Masters Degree in Public Health in 2001.
Since graduating veterinary school, Dr. Kidd has worked for corporate veterinary practices, feline only practices and holistic practices, before joining the Conyers Animal Hospital family in 2001.
Her special interests include emergency medicine, feline health, and nutrition. Dr. Kidd is very involved in our community, visiting schools for career day, hosting tours for special interest youth groups, and judging science fair projects. Dr. Kidd personifies the dedication and passion it takes to become an outstanding and renowned Veterinarian. Her love for her patients and clients strengthens with each visit.
Dr. Kidd is an alumni member of the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce 2011 Leadership, member of Georgia Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Feline Medical Association. She also practices emergency medicine part time at the East Metro Animal Emergency Clinic. Dr. Kidd has avid interest in physical fitness and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!
