Laser Therapy

Laser therapy has proved to be an extremely effective, non-invasive tool for managing inflammation from degenerative diseases, surgery, and arthritis as well as other conditions.

At Conyers Animal Hospital, we offer laser therapy to encourage cell regeneration and increase blood flow to the targeted area, which then stimulates the release of pain-relieving hormones. Laser therapy can also be used with other treatment plans recommended by your veterinarian.

The process generally takes between 5-10 minutes, has no side effects, and continues to relieve pain and fight inflammation for up to 24 hours following the session.

Benefits of Laser Therapy for Cats & Dogs

Laser therapy offers numerous benefits for pets, including:

  • Pain Relief: Laser therapy reduces inflammation and provides immediate pain relief.
  • Reduced Inflammation: Laser therapy helps decrease swelling and inflammation in muscles and joints, improving mobility and comfort.
  • Accelerated Healing: Laser therapy enhances cellular activity and boosts circulation, which accelerates the healing process for wounds, injuries, and post-surgical recovery.
  • Improved Mobility: Pets with arthritis or joint issues experience increased joint flexibility and reduced stiffness, leading to better overall mobility.
  • Stress-Free Treatment: Laser therapy is painless and typically well-tolerated by pets, with most experiencing a soothing and relaxing sensation during the treatment.
  • Non-Invasive and Drug-Free: By managing pain and inflammation effectively, laser therapy can reduce or even eliminate the need for long-term medication, minimizing potential side effects.
  • Quick and Convenient: Treatments are typically quick, often lasting only a few minutes, making it a convenient option for both pets and their owners.
